Itinerary

City Palace dwells in the heart of the city and is an abode of Jaipur royal family, since its inception. This huge palace comprises of many attractions, the architecture of this palace is magnificent and pulls visitors, for a glance. The gardens, gates, huge courtyards and more of, the two silver vessels that have make their mark in Guinness Book of World Records, as the largest silver objects in the world. Weighing more than 300 kilograms, with a height of 5 feet, it amazes spectators. The City Palace museum boasts an art gallery, textile gallery and an arms gallery and all three prove to be a treat to the eyes. The compilation preserves a rich assortment of arms and ammunitions from the erstwhile era. The exhibition fascinates visitors, showcases royal costumes, especially Maharaja Madho Singh’s costume, 7 feet heighted and weighs 250 kilograms.

12 pm, Jantar Mantar
Jantar Mantar is largest and the best preserved one, amongst the five observatories, an engineering marvel astonishing astrologers. This astronomical center was built between 1727 and 1734, during the reign of Maharaja Jai Singh II. The instruments were created to measure time, predict eclipses and locate the position of the stars. The observatory showcases a total of 14 instruments, out of which some are of great proportion, for instance, the Samrat Yantra sundial, which stands at a height of 90 feet.

Hawa Mahal also known as Palace of Winds is a major landmark, this five storey building was constructed in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. The palace boasts a number of 950 small windows, which facilitates a strong flow of wind. 3pm, Albert Hall Museum,
Albert hall was designed by Sir Swinton Jacob in 1876 on the visit of King Edward VII, then Prince of Wales. The museum is dwelling in the garden of Ram Niwas Bagh, surrounded with lush green beauty of the nature. The compilation of the preserved articles comprises of more than 19000 objects, ranging from carpets, pots, Egyptian Mummy’s, metal & wood work, flora & fauna, textile, paintings, etc.

Established during 16th century, this fort lays at a distance of about 11 kilometers from City center. The fort took its present look after it was personalised by Maharaja Jai Singh II, where it initiated early during the reign of Maharaja Man Singh. To reach to the top of this gigantic citadel of the Kachhwaha’s, one can opt to take a royal elephant ride and experience the King/Queen within. There are many attractions in the fort, Diwane-aam, Ganesh pol and Sheesh Mahal. 12pm, Jai Garh Fort.
